MOVING THE ARTIST WITHIN Workshop

Are you a dancer, actor, or any other artist curious as to what makes a movement memorable? Are you curious about the body as a living instrument? Do you just like to move and have fun in community? Join MACRE Fall Artist-In-Incubator Jada Haynes for a movement workshop where we'll explore the various weights, qualities, and characteristics that bring movements to life. We will begin with a brief somatic warm up, engage with Laban "efforts" in across-the -floor exercises, and end with time to translate our experience into drawing, writing, or whatever else you feel called to.
Absolutely NO dance experience required, just bring a water bottle, yourself, and curiosity :)
